Cylinder Head Packages and Rates
Note: All prices are for listed modification package items only and do not include cylinder heads or any other parts or machine work except as noted. All prices are U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice. All work requires a minimum 50% deposit, non-refundable after work has begun. There are no warrantees of any kind on parts or components. Although unlikely, we are not responsible for cylinder heads which crack before, during or after modification. We highly recommend customers clean and crack check their cylinder heads before shipping. All customers please read: Common MGB cylinder head crack points.
MGB "Fast Road" Cylinder Head Package
Our most commonly requested cylinder head modification package, offering the performance, reliability and economy we've become famous for. Designed for maximum flow potential within a street usuable RPM Range, this package has proven itself on everything from stock restorations to fast road MGBs and is ideal for anyone wanting more from their street driven MGB.
- Cleaned and glass-bead blasted.
- Thoroughly checked for cracks (see notes above).
- Full porting and valve job to "Fast Road" specification.
- New manganese-bronze inlet and exhaust guides.
- Guides bulleted and machined for Teflon stem seals.
- Guides reamed and honed for clearance.
- Hardened, lead-free exhaust seat inserts.
- New 1.625" inlet valves and Stellite exhausts.
- Inlet and exhaust valves trued and back-cut.
- Deck surface milled flat.
- New dual springs installed.
- New water neck and inlet manifold studs with brass nuts.
- Moss competition manifold gasket.
- Color is bare unless otherwise noted (see options below).
Cost to modify your head to MGB "Fast Road" specifications: $850.00
Options and add-on's:
- Color options: $10.00 (Please specify: Sunrise Red, Moss Maroon, Gloss Black).
- Dual spring retainer upgrade when not supplied with customer head: $60.00 (Please see article)
- Type "B" valve keeper upgrade when not supplied with customer head: $55.00 (Please see article)
- Intake seat inserts to be used when needed (at our discretion): $12.00 each seat installed.
- Helicoil repairs to stripped stud holes (at our discretion): $5.00 each installed.
- Port your twin SU or DCOE manifold to match cylinder head: $75.00

MGB "Vintage Race" Cylinder Head Package
For the ultimate in on-track performance, experience the power our flow-bench derived, dyno tested and race track proven, competition heads deliver.
As for "Fast Road" except:
- Full porting and valve job to "Vintage Race" specification.
- Valve guides race prepped.
- Inlet and exhaust valves race prepped.
- Valve spring and retainer packages to suite (see options below).
- Chamber volume set to suite compression ratio.
- Complete flow testing with MS Excel file included.

Pierce 5-Port Alloy Cylinder head
With this package you'll get better than stock performance from this stock replacement type cylinder head. These heads can be a great replacement for a cracked iron head and we have the knowledge and experience to make these heads perform. All PMI heads are subject to a thorough check for casting irregularity and may be subject to rejection. The customer assumes all responsibility for costs incurred in the process of obtaining a sound core.
- Full porting and valve job to "Fast Road" specification.
- Valve guides reamed and honed to proper clearance.
- New 1.625" inlet valves and Stellite exhausts.
- Inlet and exhaust valves trued and back-cut.
- New "positive type" Teflon valve stem seals.
- Deck surface milled flat.
Cost to modify your Pierce 5-Port Alloy Cylinder Head to the above specifications: $750.00
Cost including new Pierce Alloy head: $1,750.00
Options and add-on's:
- Port your twin SU or DCOE manifold to match cylinder head: $75.00
- Dual spring retainer upgrade when not supplied with customer head: $60.00 (Please see article)

Pierce "MSX" Crossflow Cylinder Head
Due to casting inconsistency from the manufacture and the extreme amounts of material removal necessary to achieve the performance levels we have been attaining, we can no longer offer our services for this cylinder head. Stay tuned to our home page for more information as it becomes available.
