Why modify cylinder heads?

Airflow quantity and quality are the foundations of your engine's performance. Whether your goal is outright power or increased fuel economy, a properly developed cylinder head should be priority one. The truth is, many stock cylinder heads are very restrictive to airflow, even with a stock engine. Once an engine is modified or tuned to a higher level of performance, the situation only becomes worse. Cylinder head types and modifications should therefore be chosen to complement the performance goals of your engine. With the right cylinder head, your engine's potential to be a performer is guaranteed.

Aftermarket cylinder heads:

Aftermarket cylinder heads exist for many different engines, however simply buying one does not guarantee that it will perform as intended. Many aftermarket cylinder heads require extensive reworking before their full performance potential can be realized. Our experience with these heads allows us to make educated decisions about what type to use, as well as what modifications are needed to get the most from them. If you are thinking about purchasing an aftermarket cylinder head, let us help you achieve the performance you are looking for the first time, without undue hassles and frustration.

The bottom line:

The difference between a properly developed cylinder head combination and a poorly developed one is like night and day. Time and again our customers have raved that cylinder head modification was the best performance per dollar they spent toward achieving their goals. If you are seriously considering performance enhancements for your engine, a properly developed cylinder head package should be the first on your list of improvements.
